In 2014, our founders Dirk, Richard, and Martijn noticed a problem: everyone in the Netherlands was struggling with broken bikes. Flat tyres, rusty chains, and constant worry were just part of bike ownership. There had to be a smarter way.

They got 40 second-hand bikes, and launched the world’s first bike subscription. The mission was simple: You get a bike you don’t have to worry about for one fixed monthly fee, and we handle all repairs for free. Always.

They also wanted a way to make the bikes more noticeable. And that’s why they chose the iconic Delft Blue for the front tyre, a nod to their roots and a visionary mark of quality.
